The Aces are the No. 1 seed in the playoffs after finishing the regular season with a 26-10 record. They advanced to the Finals by defeating the Seattle Storm in the first round and the Connecticut Sun in the semifinals.

The Sky and Aces split their two regular-season meetings this season. The Sky won the first meeting, 83-79, in Chicago on June 11. The Aces won the second meeting, 93-83, in Las Vegas on July 22.

The Sky are led by reigning WNBA MVP Candace Parker, who is averaging 16.9 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game in the playoffs. Other key players for the Sky include Kahleah Copper, Emma Meesseman, and Courtney Vandersloot.

The Aces are led by reigning WNBA Defensive Player of the Year A'ja Wilson, who is averaging 19.5 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 2.8 blocks per game in the playoffs. Other key players for the Aces include Kelsey Plum, Chelsea Gray, and Jackie Young.

The Sky will have home-court advantage in the Finals, with Games 3, 4, and 5 (if necessary) scheduled to be played at Wintrust Arena in Chicago. However, the Aces are a tough opponent, and they will be looking to win their first WNBA championship since 2008.

The 2023 WNBA Finals are sure to be an exciting series. The Sky are looking to defend their title, while the Aces are looking to win their first championship in franchise history.
